Life Groups are Sermon Text-Based Discussion Groups that meet on Sunday afternoon or evening as part of our Sunday Nights @ Collinsville (SN@C) strategy. Groups meet either in church members’ homes or on the church campus. These groups are designed help group members dig deeper into the scripture text used in that morning’s sermon, discuss & apply scripture and build bonds with those in the body of Christ. Groups have group leaders who are trained to facilitate discussion of the sermon text. Life Groups are less structured than a typical Sunday School class, but serve to strengthen our church by taking us deeper in the Scriptures.
Another way Life Groups are different than Sunday School is the make up of the groups. Groups are made up in several different ways. Some groups are made up of couples who are in different stages of life. Other groups are made up of a few families that meet together. There are some groups that are made up of both married couples and individuals. A couple of Life Groups are made up of middle-age & older adults.
Life Groups reset 3 different times during the course of the year after each trimester of SN@C Discipleship/Equipping Classes finish up. Most Life Groups will keep the majority of their members. However new groups can form and groups members can change to different groups if they wish.
